Modern Fitness Trends II
AN
INTERVIEW WITH:
STEVE ELBOGEN FITNESS TRAINER
Steve Elbogen Interview Part II
Interviewer:
In our last interview we asked if you would share about your
children and how you influenced them to stay on your family
fitness program.
Steve:
The
most important thing to remember is that kids do what you do,
not what you say. So if you can include them in some of your
fitness activities, they will likely follow the example on their
own in the future. It is also important to get them involved in
a sport of physical activity they enjoy. As for us, it has to be
part of their lifestyle. They do learn this early on, and apply
it. Of course, at times you have to prod and push, but that’s
part of the job not listed in the brochure.
Interviewer:
What have been some of the benefits to them?
Steve: The
confidence an individual gains from getting and staying fit
transcends many other aspects of one’s life. Confidence is a
critical monster for teens. I believe it has had a major
positive effect in the academic and social arena. |

Interviewer:
What have you taught your children about good nutrition and
fitness?
Steve:
Good
nutrition cannot be an option. They eat what you make available.
No matter what they say, when they get hungry they’ll eat what
you put forth. So, once again, they do what you do, not what you
say. If you maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle, they certainly
see the benefit of your success.
Interviewer:
Is it true that your children were awarded college scholarships
that can be attributed in part to your fitness influence?
Steve:
Without a
doubt. They had offers from all over the country, and were
grateful to be able to go to their school of choice. There is no
question that following my training principles gave them a huge
athletic advantage. They have been awarded top athlete in their
class every year since kindergarten – both sexes. These
techniques have been proven many times over.
In our next interview Mr.
Elbogen will share about his vision for the future of how to
make it easier for families to get and stay fit based on what's
worked and what has not from his experience.
